Low Tech Prototype
So as with all products, we started with a prototype, In my case, it was specifically for demonstration purposes as there was no physical prototype but rather I made a database for me to act as a stand-in for the AI for purpose of getting across its instantaneous nature. This unexpectedly did end up being of use at the end which I'll go into about that detail later. After the database was finished I presented to community partners as well as peers for feedback. Most feedback centered around flexibility regarding results but then there were some talking about how concise getting to the results are, as well as being recommended ways to be better than any alternative and to have the subjects that would fulfill users' needs first and foremost.
The Path to the End
The road to my final product was wavey one it started out simply enough I got the Alexa app so I could begin working on it I ran into issues getting started but luckily I had someone(my physics teacher) help out since he was more familiar than I was with the creation.
It wasn't long till I ran into bigger issues, however, they surrounded the opening of external programs. These issues didn't seem to have a solution beyond a paywall. So it wasn't happening, fortunately, at home, I had been working on the program as a testing tool for links and audio this became my plan B of sorts I worked on the program as a Desktop App that would have the functionality I wished the AI to have.
The problems didn't end there however as I got sick right in the middle of the process which significantly slowed my pace so I asked one of my focus group members, Sebastian to help me gather information and sources as a continued writing the program cutting my work in half until I got better enough do it myself again. I ended with a Desktop covering ten subjects which were based on my personal experience, common student difficulties, and focus group recommendations each being in the big three learning styles(Visual, Audio, Kinesthetic).
